me and my husband both love cycling. i do 3-4 days a week commute to work and he does is all week.

i want to give some gift for his birthday. does any one know any adventurous gift idea/places may be for a day or two?

i was thinking of some mountain biking class/tour or something . but could not find any websites...

Hard for us to make any suggestions when we don't know of your approx. geographic location. That would affect pricing, availability, etc.

Have you introduced yourself under the Cycling-General heading?

Why not do what my DH & I did when we discovered that we both had a day off at the same time?

We did an Internet search on small local communities - more specifically, Bed & Breakfasts within easy cycling range. We ended up taking a 40 mile ride to a small town and staying in an old hotel where we were treated like the VIPs we (think we) are. It was such a great impromptu get-away that we're already planning another one.

The trip doesn't necessarily have to be to a big tourist attraction, just getting out and cycling together is a romantic thing to do. As are dodging thunderstorms and fixing flats (but we don't talk abot that).

If you wish to extend your range, drive the bikes to some place you'd like to explore and make a short circle tour.

Without knowing your area, that's the best I can do, but the idea of getting out together and doing something you both enjoy just can't be beat.

Thanks a lot for idea MomOnBike,
actually that sounds interesting. we can drive to near by forest to upstate NY with bike and spend weekends or so and ride bikes and have fun..

we both work at same place. so taking off for a day for us is not big deal.

thanks a lot for idea.

I was just thinking of this last night! I am in NE PA so we are somewhat in the same region. What about Lancaster, PA (Amish Country), the Poconos, or upstate NY? Let me know if you come up with anymore ideas, I am going to look into this for a Fall trip.
