View Full Version : More bicycles sold than cars in the U.S.

I read in my local newspaper that last year there were more bicycles sold (2,6 million) than cars, trucks and vans (2,5 million) in the U.S.
A remarkable figure, knowing that bike sales have dropped with 30%.

a bad thing for the car industry and the people working in that industry, but a good thing for the environment. :)

Wouldn't it be nice if we can switch more people to commute on a bicycle. I love the idea of cargo bikes someone had posted pics from Copenhagen.

Hey lets make the sidewalk 12 feet wide and turn all 4 lane road into two lanes, one lane in each direction.

I love the black and white picture someone had posted. Car lane was narrow and bike lane took up most of the road.
