Oregon, Washinton peeps, heard of this one?

I'm *fingers crossed* thinking of doing the HIM. (Still on the half-iron at a half century plan.)

I've been told that the Grand Columbian is a very difficult one for a first time HIM.

Can anyone recommend a late season (Sept or October race) in Ca, Or or Wa?
