I know that this may be a little late for me (seeing as I really should get this done up tomorrow), but what's the best way to ship a bike.

I wish that I could go to a bike store to get my bike packed, but I'll be doing it my self. I have the box, I've taken off the peddles, the seat post, the handle bars & wheels, going to ziptie the wheels to the frame, put the rest in my suit cases, and then bubble wrap it and put it it the bike box. Does this sound like my bike will be safe?

My biggest concern is insurance on the bike, what companies will cover the cost to replace it (on account that it's a used bike, only been used for 1 month, but still used). I called Purolater, they want way too much for insurance.

I'm being parinoid, I don't want my baby to get hurt. Somebody please reassure me that she's going to get through this without getting damaged.
