Oakland Bike Fit Recommendations!

Hi! I am looking for some advice about who to go to for a bike fit in Oakland. I can travel to San Jose, SF, and davis too. Basically I have a new bike but it's killing my knees. i'm not a new rider, I maintained ~80 mpw on my old steel bike. I just can't seem to get the new bike set up like the old one, and I want to ride it SO BAD, but it's painful!!

If anyone could help me out with great previous experience about a fitter, i would be so thankful!!!!!

I also don't know what to expect from a bike fit. Is it usually perfect after the first visit? do you have to go multiple times? do you have to pay multiple times?

But in answer to your question "does it feel better right away" is Yes and No. Yes if done right a fit bike feels immediately better. But sometimes it may feel just different at first as you use different muscles. So there may be some after fit tweaking.

So check into some of these shops, ask around, get your bike fit and ride!
