Ok, so it's not a RR, but I just had to say I got to volunteer and watch the pros/elites race today. http://www.boathousetriathlon.org/

We've never had anything like this in OKC, but hopefully it'll be back for the next couple years.

It was AMAZING!!!! My friend, Amanda Stevens, is a pro and I finally got to see her race with her pro "peeps". Matt Reed chose me for his hydration needs on the 2nd loop of the run course, I met Dave Scott (IM legend), and got to see Hunter Kemper's butt oh so many times. :D:D:D:D

It was the coolest day ever! It's the closest I'll ever come to being a pro- handing water to them in transition. ;) Every one of them were SOOO nice and down to earth (NOT like a pro in any other sport: basketball, baseball, football). We decided since they make so little money, it keeps them grounded. :)

Just had to share. The age groupers race the same course tomorrow, and although I'm not racing this year, I'll be out there wetsuit stripping.
Triathlon is so great!!!

Oh, I wish I had known you were there, I would have asked you to cheer on my colombian team mates! Carolina finished 10th, which is FABULOUS, still waiting on the boys results!

Your Colombian teammates did well!!! I distinctly remembering yelling out "gooooo coooo-lumbia" several times. The boys race was super close and quite intense. I just know the names of the American elites, but the whole field was AMAZING! I practiced my Spanish with many of the athletes (much to their amusement, I'm sure). My most often said phrase early in the day was: "lo siento por el viento" and "buena suerte" after the race it was "felicidades."
