Hi All
I posted a bit over a year ago. I practically stopped riding last summer. New love, second job, blah blah blah!!! Now I am back on my bikes. I have a mtn bike I use for cruising and errands and a road bike for distance.

You ladies gave me a lot of inspiration last time. I will be looking for a lot more as I try to loose the pounds I have packed on.

Ride on!

I need some nudging! I am great riding the river greenway and urban assault riding. But, dang, I am feeling a little intimidated by Mojito, my roadbike.:(

Welcome back, Slowpoke! It was all here waiting for you and I guess that's the beauty of the bike... you can always get back on and ride!

Are you intimidated by the bike or by riding on the road/traffic? What's scary about it?

Welcome back!!! The best thing about riding is it never goes out of style and you never forget how to do it. :) Glad you're back in the saddle.

Let me see, what's to tell.....I have two main bikes. My roadie is a Bianchi Eros Donna in Kandy Mango (her name is Carman, as in Carman Miranda with the dancing fruit headress!!) and my mtn bike is a Gary Fisher Marlin. It's green with purple extensions and I call her skittles!
I'm a middle aged overweight single mom. Yep another fat chick on a skinny bike LOLOL. My first goal of the summer is a 25 mile ride for Tour De Cure. It's not much, I've ridden further, but not in over a year!

It is nice to meet you Slowpoke. I am new to the forum so I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself also. I am a married mom to 3 (Oldest at FSU, second about to graduate and head to FSU, and one finishing middle school). I live in central Florida in an area with wonderful deserted roads for biking. My husband began cycling four years ago and I got started last September. I started with a Trek Pilot 5.1 and my dh surprised me with a Madone 5.2 on Valentine's Day. I ride mostly with a fantastic bike group who are super supportive. I rode my first century yesterday. I have already learned so much by reading past posts. There are only 2 other women who ride consistently with the bike group and it is definitely helpful to get information from the ladies here. I look forward to getting to know you all better.:o
