So it bugged me that she kept changing stuff about her bike to try to get this boy (who acts like a little jerk) to like her, but her triumph near the end made it worth watching :p :

The things women do in attempt to get noticed by boys ;) :p
I'm so glad at the end she took control and totally owned him :D

Fantastic, too funny!
She looks too old for him.
And he has a REALLY bad haircut.
She can do way better than him.
ETA- OK, I watched the whole thing and I don't like it a bit. Imagine if these were adults. She would be married to a stupid hard headed loser.
I'd rather see that end with her realizing how good she was at that jump then showing a BMX rider in full protective gear winning a race. The winner takes off their helmet and you see that it's her. The boy is nowhere in sight.
That's what I call a happy ending.

I agree, I wasn't too fond of the last itty bitty scene after the credits. I think I like your ending better. :p

It's the haircut - all that effort for some stupid kid with the most awful hair ever, what a waste!!!!
And both of them look too old for stabilisers!

Another new word! We call them 'training wheels'

Oops! I shall add that to my dictionary, together with "fenders" and something else that I've unfortunately already forgotten...I might end up speaking fluent cycling related american if I hang around here a bit longer! ;)

I had a German foreign exchange student who wound up coming back here for college. Between High School and College, he had to take another English class. The Germans weren't happy with his English even though he speaks it beautifully. He has the slang down! They insisted that he call pants, trousers and the movies, pictures. He told them that everyone in America would laugh at him. We did laugh when he told us the story, and we assured him that, yes, we would laugh if he said "I'm going to put on my trousers and go to the pictures".

What do you call fenders?
Don't become Americanized in your language! I like Brit-speak:)
And it's part of what makes you you :) :)
a brief hijack-did you do your ride yet?

It's hard for me to sit still very long. Thus, it took me two times back to this thread and a bout of insomnia to watch 7 minutes...
But, omg, glad I did... that was TOO cute! I passed that on, which I don't usually do either.
Yea... part of me chuckled and said, "GF, go get yourself an upgrade...(like boys that went riding hard down the road on two wheels)". But, that would be just purely the cynical streak in me.
I think it says, "if you want something bad enough, don't give up and go after it hard until you get it...". Besides the other stuff.
Thanks for sharing!:)

Fenders are mudguards! Obviously!!! ;)
Can't see myself becoming fully americanised, but knowing the local words does have it's advantage - just joined a German cycling forum (I left Germany before I started cycling again), and the lingo is a nightmare! They keep going on about the "Vorbau" and other weird stuff - took me ages to work out they mean the stem!
As for the movie example - even over hear you would put your pants on (at least round here), but go to the cinema or, indeed, the pictures - personally I favour the cinema! :-)
Amsterdame ride coming up in 4 1/2 weeks - things still looking bleak on the sponsorship front, but I'm getting very exited!
