This triathlon was to raise money for our group: team survivor (to support woman cancer survivors get back in shape ect....)

It was a 300m swim - 20 min on stationary bike - 2 mile run/walk

concidering all the factors I deal with daily I didn't do to bad....
My swim was 8.5 min ( I was actually shocked...since I could not even swim 25m 11 weeks ago). I can walk for the most part due to my leg issues but I did jog a little of it....my transition from water to bike were horrible. I will sure change things for our actual race on may 17th. This was a huge learning experiance for me and I am glad I did it before my race on the 17th!
Overall it took me one hour and 9 min. omg it took me almost 6 min to get my shoes and shorts on and get into the spin room!

I think in a "real" tri I can do better at the bike so that will help overall times.

Anyway.... I MADE IT!!!! Thats all I wanted to do.

Transitions are really the hardest part of it all, it is logistical, in the elites, people win or lose in the transition....so just take them calmly, methodically, and they will eventually get better.
Great job!

Yay, TX! :D That's exciting!

Ditto what Tri said about transitions. It's really important to have a plan. I'm usually pretty beat coming out of the water & can't think clearly so having each step pre-planned for me helps a ton.

Good luck May17th!!

Congrats on a great swim! I was a runner and biker already and worked for like 4 months to get a swim time that good. Congrats on doing it in such a short amount of time!!!

Since I am not a runner I have to try to make up time in the swim and bike!

I actually jogged a little of the 2 miles (which I have not done in 25 years)! I have paid a little for that but will get back out there and bike again today. I am doing my 17 mile loop.

It is a small event with fellow team survivor ladies and their friends and family. We raised 1000.00

There is a new ride on oct 5th called the Mamma Jamma Breast Cancer RIde. It will directly benefit Team Survivor.

I signed up for 65 miles!!!!!!!!! I hope to have lost another 25-40 lbs by then and make it the entire 65 miles (not ready for a centry yet...LOL).
