:confused:I thought many considered scrapbooking to be fun!

Silverdaughter, a high school senior, has the Senior Project from HECK!!:o

For English, she has to document her life in a scrapbook of pictures and essays. While we acknowledge that this will be a treasure when complete, Oh My Goodness, this is tough!

She has been working on this for weeks with no procrastination! It is due tomorrow and has totally consumed our house and the entire household!

:eek::eek:IT'S ALIVE!!!!:eek::eek:

At this point, we're all consumed in some aspect of it.

It started with the Dining Room:

Grew to the Living Room:

On Thursday, it entered the Family Room:

And today, it started creeping toward the kitchen:

I'm a high school teacher, so I'm curious. What English class is this? Our seniors are stressing over the AP tests that start this week and like Alpinerabbit, they are finishing lengthy term papers.

You obviously don't have any dogs or cats running round unsupervised in your house! ;)

I was just going to ask about dogs and cats. Looks like a fun project, and will be even more fun years hence.

What English class is this?

It's an expository writing class, not literature.

I'm a scrapbooker and this is what my house looks like a LOT of the time. :) I need a bigger house.

Now you have a very good idea as to how large her dorm room will have to be! I'm sure her excellent organizational skills, self-discipline, and desire for success will follow her to college. (Good thinking, Silver daughter! No tiny, cramped room for you as you earn your Bachelor's!)
My smallest dorm room (at Indiana University Bloomington) was about 8 x 10 IF even that. I still have bruises on my elbows.
Four room suite, coming up!

Yep, it's official - The Kitchen is Consumed! That's the Travel Chapter on the floor!

It's 10:15 PM - That's Daddy's Little 'Bama Bound Expositor!

We now have an area consumed that is larger than the house we lived in when she was born!

Barb, I know what you mean. For two years, I lived in 8x10 - with a roommate! The furniture on one wall was 24 inches deep, the bunk beds were 3 feet wide...so we had a strip of floor space that was basically 5x10!

It's an expository writing class, not literature.

As long as she understands how to write a formal essay with foot notes or end notes plus an opening thesis/statement of purpose paragraph and supporting arguments, by the time she gets to college.

Now that was an incomplete, run-on sentence. :o

I recall in my final year of high school English, we were forbidden to use illustrations in our papers. We had to learn to express the visual images or imagery completely in words. But family history is different except your daughter doesn't have to describe the personalities of her family members if she doesn't feel like it. Now you're safe. :D
