So I had a mad craving today for a gyro sandwich. NOT the best pre-ride vittles. Totally made me thirsty and I bonked about mile 35.

What have you guys eaten to later find is a big ol' anchor in your gut?

V.You're refusing to share your experince? I thought this forum was all about sharing.

Seriously, Betagirl, I think any high protein or high fat meal before a ride is    . A little is good, but a lot? Uggg.

I cannot believe I made it all the way up Mount Diablo, feeling like I was going to barf the entire way. I think that is the worst I have ever felt on my bike.

Heh, Sarah can tell you about my Taco Bell experience. Actually though, despite feeling like death I moved along pretty well. I figured if I kept moving the desire to puke would be less. I accidentally ate two chicken chalupas and a supreme crunchy taco less than oh, and hour and a half before a 17 mile MTB ride. Throw in that I always get a little nervous riding with new people and ugh. Taco Bell is good AFTER rides!

Hey smurf! How do you "accidently" eat two chicken chalupas and a supreme crunchy taco  :D :D

Grrl! I do that on purpose

I do love my quasi-mex from Taco Bell!

-smurfAt least we didn't see any cookies during the ride. :p

BTW, smurf, I'll work on the picture issue tonight (I hope).

I've made the mistake a couple times of eating cereal before riding. The milk just doesn't settle well. I wonder why I keep making this mistake when I know the end result.....

I was going to ask the same thing! Kinda like me "accidently" polishing off a bag 'o Circus Animal Cookies......

"Honest! The cookies just jumped out of the bag and into my mouth! I had to chew didn't I?"

Gyro is a greek sandwich... only instead of bread, the mystery meat and stuff is in a pita.

Is it lamb or goat, that mystery meat?

Chili........ a big bowl of chili! NEVER again!

Taco Pizza in the middle of a century ride. Worse than the chili! We could only ride side by side, no one wanted to ride behind anyone else! It was bad!
