A Fat Lip!

My trainer gave me a fat lip yesterday! She threw a medicine ball at my head!

Okay, so I sort of contributed. I wasn't paying 100% attention. I was suppose to be doing crunches and catching the ball and passing it back to her. It was the very first throw and I was still yakking.

She was mortified. I thought it was funny because we were talking about boxing. Now I look like a boxer. :D

I rinsed out my mouth, iced my lip and then did my crunches.

I know, I need a picture. I was going to have Thom take one last night, but I was wiped out. It was primarily a leg day and it was intense. The swelling has gone down a lot today.

On a rafting trip on the Gauley, we have video of the rafting guide clocking me in the jaw with the paddle.

We were going through some Class V or VI rapids, hit a bump, which knocked him towards the center of the boat, and he flung his arm up, holding the paddle, into the same space my head happened to be occupying at the time.

A friend who worked in a TV station at the time made sure to circle the impact, complete with slo-mo and commentary, when he made copies for everyone.
