I brought my camera to my workout today so my trainer could take pictures of my back. The more pullups I did, the more the muscle on my right side starting jutting out. Eventually it started looking some deformed chicken thing growing out of my back. We deleted those.

Proof my right side is much stronger than my left. :D

Maybe you should wear work out clothes to school and intimidate the kids into submission with bulging muscles;):)

I only WISH my back looked like that! Of course, I would have to do some work to get there...

WOW!!! Are you doing unassisted, dead-hang pull-ups? I am using Yellow's band trick to assist my pull-ups. I'm finally able to do negatives without the band for most grips, all except wide-grip -- I can't even hold myself up with the wide grip. Still can't even lift myself an 1/8th of an inch unassisted though. :(

Any other tips for me? The day I can do one unassisted pull-up will be a day of much celebration and rejoicing! :p

Thanks for sharing the pics! :)

No, those were all assisted. The first 15 I'm lifting 75 pounds. The second set of 10 is 90 pounds and the last set of 6 is 110. And I weigh more than that.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to do unassisted ones. Right after each set though I had to do 15 pushups. :p

Haven't tried in a while, but I used to be able to do 2 unassisted (barely!) with a narrow grip.

I found I got better quicker when I spotted myself by bending my knees and pushing down with my feet either on the back of a chair or on the hands of a workout buddy, rather than using one of the machines that uses weights to counterbalance you. YMMV.

Well, I'm still impressed. And then pushups between sets. Yikes! You're a mad woman! :D

Yesterday's session with my trainer was so much fun. We boxed. Well actually I boxed, with gloves hitting her pads. Pushups with the gloves on is interesting.

I'll bet pull-ups with the gloves on is even more interesting. :p;)

Seriously, nice back. I gotta get back at it... Are you doing anything specific to correct the imbalance? One-handed pull-ups?

We haven't really talked about it. The weird thing is everything is weaker on my left. I do a lot of things single sided, same weights, same reps, so that should help. But everything is harder and dorkier on the left.

Here's a link to my trainer's website. It's not commercial, so I hope it's okay.
