Registration is open! I just registered for the imperial century. Who else is going?

Short description from the website:
Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States and the 7th deepest in the world is located in the northern part of Klamath County and was chosen as the site of the century ride because few places on earth command overwhelming awe from observers as Crater Lake does. Even in a region of volcanic wonders, Crater Lake can only be described in superlatives. Stories of the deep blue lake can never prepare visitors for their first breathtaking look from the brink of this 6 mile wide caldera.

You betcha!

Lee & I are both signed up for the Imperial Century. I don't know how I'll be by then, but it's something to shoot for. :)

It's a great ride, highly recommended. Here's hoping it won't be quite as hot out as last year!

Here's my blog from last year's ride: http://callmepokey.blogspot.com/2008/08/crater-lake-was-wonderful.html

And my pics from last year (the ride, and the days before & after):

Oh how I want to do this ride this year!

We signed up last year and then had to miss it. I'm hesitant to sign up and then not be able to make it again. What to do...what to do???

Anyone know a goat-sitter we could hire? :p

Seriously? I might know someone who knows someone.

Really? Someone local to us that we could hire for a weekend? If so, send me a PM!

The yellow family will be there. We're making a vacation out of it.

Methinks there is a TE Crater Lake Century movie in the works...

Methinks there is a TE Crater Lake Century movie in the works...When you say "family", how many legs and tails are involved?

When you say "family", how many legs and tails are involved?

That would be 12 legs, 2 tails, and 4 opposable thumbs. 500+ pounds of living, breathing beings. Kind of scary when you think of it that way.

The cats are staying at home. Someone has to keep the raccoons out of the house.

Hey, we are bringing two tails as well! Er, as much of a tail as an Australian Shepherd has anyway!

Hey, just heard from the organizer that there are still spots available for the 2009 Crater Lake Century on Aug 15.

It's a great ride. Just sayin'.

Dang! I would have liked to have know about this ride! I just signed up to do the Portland Century on the 16th. Can't do two long rides back to back but will for sure do this next year.

Well, if it's as excellent this year as it was last year -- and I have no reason to believe it won't be -- then you'll most likely see me, and hopefully other TE'ers, there next year.

And then we'll get to reply "which one?" when someone calls out to Jo. :D

I am excited to tackle this one. I have a group from my gym going to do it next year for sure. Anyone here ever rode the Mt. Shasta rides? Lake Chelan?
