Thought I'd try a new thread. Anyone have one of these they want to sell? Thanks.

I hope some lovely soul will have one for you :)

For your information, the Selle Italia SLR Lady Gel Flow (different from the Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow that is not SLR) is the same dimension and shape as the Jett 155. And, in my opinion, better construction: finished nicely instead of stapled underneath.

If you can't find a Jett 155 you could probably locate the Selle Italia.

Good luck!

Thanks Grog! That's information I can use. I looked at those saddles, but settled on the Jett because I have had such great luck with them on my mountain bike. I'll check those out now that I know they are almost the same. Thank you.

Have you used both? From the photos it appears that the SI is a bit more pear-shaped than the Jett, and also its cut-out seems to be both wider in the rear and narrower in the front.

I'm in the market for a 155 Jett as well - the SI looks possibly interesting but not if it's any more pear-shaped.

I'm pretty much in the market for any of the 155 specialized saddles - I'll leave the jetts to Uforgot & Oakleaf...

but if anyone has an ariel, an alias, a ruby or a toupe, I'd be interested.

My bums been fairly happy on any 155 width specialized saddle.

Me too! It doesn't seem to matter which one, when I sit on Specialized (or Brooks) it works. I have searches on ebay too and there aren't many popping up. It says on the Specialized website that if it's the wrong size or doesn't work, you can send it back. I may have to try that since I'm not exactly sure about the 155. That's what I have on my mountain bike, though, and it's perfect there.

I can manage on a 143 - the specialized website says if I want to be more upright, use a 155, if I want to be more aero, use a 143. It might have been vice versa.

I could be mean and steal back one of my specialized saddles that the BF nabbed when I swapped it off one of my bikes - but I'm trying to avoid being mean.

I want aero, I have upright on my Surly and Brooks. Maybe I'll go pm Martian Destiny...

check your sit bone measurements and do the little chart on specialized's website. It'll tell you whether it recommends a 143 for aero.

I'm in the market for a 155 Jett as well - the SI looks possibly interesting but not if it's any more pear-shaped.

I have not seen a 155 Jett but I am assuming that it is very similar to the 135 Jett. Do not confuse it with the Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow (not SLR) which is a true pear-shape and shorter-nosed.

I've sat on a Jett 135 which I despised after about 100 km (it was like I was stung by bees near each sit bone, ouch!). That was disappointing because the shape worked for me. I replaced it with a Selle Italia SLR gel flow (not the lady version) which is extremely similar. I remember holding the two together at the time and the shapes were nearly identical. Now after three years of a comfortable relationship I am getting the SLR Lady Gel Flow. I think I can use one more centimeter on each side. I saw it in a store and held it on top of the regular SLR, and I actually thought the T-shape was even more clear on the SLR Lady than on the SLR.

So the comparison with the Jett is inference. I really don't like pear-shaped saddles. I sat on a Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow once and really hated it. I have a lot of hope for the SLR Lady though. I should receive it by the end of the week and will report exhaustively as soon as I can do so authoritatively. :)

EDITED TO ADD: Yes the cut-out is pretty massive. That's the part I'm weary about. We'll find out later this week I guess.

I have an '06 Jett 155mm. The cover isn't as nice as the newer Jett (more seams), but those seams never bothered me. It was just too thick, flexy, and too wide in the nose to middle area (rubbed my inner thighs). It's still in good condition. I used it for less than a year.

I've been keeping it around (in the box my Ruby came in) in case I build up some sort of commuter ride or something and don't want a hard race saddle. I don't know if that'll ever happen, so I will entertain any reasonable offers you want to send my way in a PM.

I can take pictures if you want.

I'm not going to step on uforgot or oakleaf's toes - but let me know in a week or two if things didn't work out with either of them ;)

Catriona, a friend of mine had a 143 Ruby that she was trying to get rid of a while ago. I don't know if she put it on eBay or what, but I can ask if you'd be interested in a 143.

BTW, don't believe the "aero" vs. "upright" thing. For me, I erred on the size of smaller at first, since I was kind of between measurements and wanted to race. It was bad. Now that I have full support for my sit bones, I am happy. For crit racing, i tend to put the nose of the saddle down a smidgen to make it more comfortable when I'm in the drops for long periods. When I'm tucked forward, it's even more important that my butt is supported and not my soft tissue. So, if you've been happy with a 155, maybe you should stick with a 155 (or at least just take a 143 for a test ride before buying).

aica, I've got a 143 aerial - it's not as good as a 155 aerial, but I can ride it happier than I can ride most other saddles. But I can't say that I really ever get all that aero.

I'm going to go sit on my 155 ruby tonight and try to imagine it narrower.

Speaking of which- I have a brand new SLR Lady Gel Flow I want to sell. (It came on a new bike, but I'm sticking with my Jett 130) Make me an offer... :o

Okay, now I'm closing out my part on this thread. Thanks aicabsolut! Can't wait to start riding on my Jett!

Hello, I have a Ruby 155 I'd like to sell. I bought the saddle with my Ruby Pro and it's not a good fit for me. I have ridden it twice and it is in perfect condition. I can be contacted at anniemurrell@gmail.com or 918.630.7533. Rock on! :D
