Armwarmers

I've tried PI, Santini XS and Castelli. So far the Castelli stayed up on my arm the best but that wasn't that tight. Anyone had better luck with another brand? Who makes the smallest, small?

Sorry I can't help ya much - I seem to have Arnold arms! The PIs worked very well for me.

Have you looked at kids warmers maybe??......I'm not sure how long your arms are but they should be smaller around.

How small are the Sheila Moon? Call the nice people at Team Estrogen. They actually wear the stuff they sell and have never steered me wrong!

Edited: I just looked at the Shebeest warmers. They list a smaller arm circumference. But call the nice TE people for a hands-on evaluation.

I am petite (5'2", 105 lbs) and find the black Terry Armskins fit me great and don't slip down. They come in a size Small, which is what I have. You can check them out here:

I have slim arms, and my Boure' arm warmers fit great. I don't know if they are a women's specific. They sure are slim!

I also have slim arms and use the Pearl Izumi arm warmers - they fit well and stay in place without pinching or falling.

I have Nalini ones, and they have worked well, but after about 6 months of wearing they are a bit loose at the top - but that could be I have lost a little weight... dunno

i have the PI's in small..... they stay up for me!

If you can't get ones that fit, get the ones you like and are comfortable with, then simply sew a tapered dart from the upper arm to the elbow. You can do this on any overlocker, or, if you think your arms are going to change size :) , or your sewing mightn't be up to scratch :eek: just use a sewing machine so you can unpick it and redo it if you need to.

dumb question but what is the point of wearing arm warmers?? I mean don't they make long sleeved, warm jerseys??

Armwarmers are great (as are legwarmers) for those days that start out too cool for short sleeves but warmup as you go. Also if your body takes a bit of time before it warms up, they are helpful in keeping your muscles warm.

Once your temp or the air temp is comfy, you can roll 'em down or take 'em off.

How about Shebeest, Terry or Sheila Moon - all geared more to women's fit.
I have some Craft as well as Sugoi that have worked great for a few years too.

Re: Why armwarmers? I love 'em! Yes, they make l/s jerseys and I have a pile that I've been gifted with, but have found that armwarmers and a vest work best most times...can roll them up and stuff them into a jersey pocket so easily.
I've gotten so that, even on cold days, I'll have a thermal, dryfit layer and armwarmers along with cold weather jackets and have to push myself to pull on a l/s jersey...just find them to be almost unnecessary most times.

I'm with the others in agreement... arm warmers are essential in spring and autumn.
You start out on a cold/frosty morning, you def need your arms covered - particulalry on the cold descents, but 20-30 minutes you warm or the day does, and you can pull those puppies down as you ride and where them like bracelets.
Arm warmers are def part of the wardrobe.

i agree...i LOVE them. i'm petite and i bought some from Performance Bike. i got the performance brand...nice and cheap. they work perfectly and don't fall work there way down my arm..unless i want them to.

It's nice to always have them stored in my camelback for the just-in-case situations.
