Someone had abondoned this electric bicycle. I was sooo tempted to take it but I was good. I didn't pick it up. I looked over the bike, the electronics, the motor, the battery. I think its just too far gone. I already have too many projects. Let someone else fix it. The dead battery was lead acid, the cranks were the real cheapie crank not even cottered cranks. Goose neck, single speed for the rear gear, frame not meant for a cluster... but most importantly, the bike is wayyy too big for my partner and wayy too heavy. The electronic controller dangling in the middle looked in pretty good condition. I figure one of the power transistor is blown and thus the motor doesn't work. Anyway, some lady drove by in her mini-van and picked it up. I hope her husband is technically capable. From the setup, I know it doesn't have the regenerative braking like the newer electric bikes.

Saved myself from more headaches :D :D

It's a cool looking bike. I'm wondering if you can turn it into just a regular bike (not electric?). :)

It's gone.
I think it was stolen and dumped when the stupid thieves couldn't figure it out.
The frame and everything look to be in good condition.

erm... maybe she is fully capable of doing it herself? Just trying to enlighten all of us about not putting down our own sisters.

I did talk to the woman. :) and she did say her husband this and her husband that... But yes you're right. If I hadn't spoken to her, I should state that I hope she can fix it. After all, I do my own maintenance.

I wished her husband lots of luck in getting the thing fixed. I think it'll cost more than its worth though.
