BikeTalk this Wednesday @ 1pm on KMVR 89.5 FM

Join BikeTalk hosts Chris Kelly & Kurt Stockton along with guests Jim Brown of the California Bicycle Coalition and Suzanne Weber of Yoga for Bikes, this Wednesday @1pm pst on KVMR!

Jim Brown is the Director of Communications at the California Bicycle Coalition (CBC) and will be with us live via phone.

On Feb. 17, 2009, Pres. Barack signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, a $787 billion plan to stimulate the U.S. economy with spending on infrastructure, including state transportation projects. The CBC is calling on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to ensure that California spends some of this funding on ready-to-build bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure projects. Jim will share on what The CBC is doing and what we can do to help.

Suzanne Weber will be with us live in the studio. Suzanne is an active Yoga instructor that practices locally in the Nevada City area. She will share her specifically tailored program called "Yoga for Bikes" - a p rogram designed by her to strengthen all the specific muscle groups that the body uses when riding a bike that will help reduce the chances of injury that occur when folks get back on the bike after a long winter.

The call-in numbers are 530-265-9555 and 800-355-5867 if you would like to call with questions and comments. or you can stream us live at KVMR.ORG

If you are not familiar with Chris, he's a Northern California bike builder and entertaining character. I know a few of us own his bikes, including aka_kim and myself. He's probably most well known in the cyclocross world. Inventor of the Kelly Take-off (http://www.kellybike.com/2nd_xtra_takeoff.html).

Oh yeah, the show is at 1 pm pacific time.
