Anyone else hit the Seattle Bike Expo? Great way to spend a rainy day... shopping for biking stuff. So many bike clothes, so many discounts so little time. I got a great rain/wind Nike jacket, a Pearl Izumi lightweight long sleeve jersey, and a fabulous trek lightweight longsleeve HisVis jersey (for only $14!), and a tank. And a free hat also! I really just planned to look around. Who knew the deals were so great there?! I highly recommend it for Sunday if you have nothing else going on! Happy Shopping!!!!! :D

If I knew what you looked like...we were there on Saturday morning.

Hmm...no purchases except for a cycling card. I didn't see long-sleeved cycling jerseys that I wanted. Not enough choice.

He bought an inflatable saddle. Drastically reduced. Ok..honey. Whatever.

Abit cold and wet in some exihibit areas this year! 'Course we loaded up on different cycling maps useful for trip planning. We did other things during our visit/trip over this weekend.

Shooting star, did he buy a topeak saddle? I bought one too. I want to try it on the tandem (and it was on sale for 40 bucks, worth it)

what a fiasco! half the exhibits were flooded. those poor people.
and the food booths were outside in heavy rain/snow/wind. instead of cooking, they're worried that something's going to blow away.

Same thing, Biclista! I poked at the saddle right now wrapped inside the plastic wrapper and he told me that it wasn't inflated yet.

Seems bouncy already without required inflation. He does need a new saddle (he had a sexy red Italia Selle model which the leather was starting to crack..after a few yrs.) but he better get this resolved soon before his European bike trip this May.

Note: I noticed it's the centre part that is inflatable, not the whole thing.

I'm so sorry to hear about how cold and wet lots of people were. Our CROC people nearly froze. I hope they'll be able to move back to the cruise line terminal next year.

We arrived sometime around noon on Saturday, so the rain/snow had stopped. I picked up some Etxe Ondo bibs at about 60% off, and I ordered the new wool Cascade club jersey. Visited at the CROC booth and confessed that I wimped out last year and didn't ride Cabbage Hill...I felt so much better after my confession. ;) I also got to play with the electronic Dura Ace...it really shifts nice, but at the price it goes for, I'd rather take a pre-nuptial trip to Hawaii with my fiance.

Hey now, let's not forget, I rode UP that stinking hill last year, in the rain. I guess I'll have to do it again this year hopefully without the rain.

I got one of those $14. hiviz long sleeve jerseys too. Also a long sleeve wool jersey for $44. and a pair of PI Amfib tights for $50. :D My sister and I signed up for the STP and CROC rides as well.

The weather was very sucky! Sunday walking through the tents, the carpet in the isles was completely soaked and pooling with every step. And of course we had to drive through a freakin blizzard to get back over the pass. :p bikerHen
