I am getting back to biking after a low mileage year. I am using(attempting ) to use Sports Track. SadieKate has steered me a few times already and I am VERY grateful for her support. Is anyone else on TE forum using this program? Have you been able to join the forum for discussions? I've tried a number of times and have even emailed the "contact us' location on Thurs with no response so far. I keep getting a message[ You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password.]
This is disturbing because I thought this site was going to be great so I already contributed money.:(

Today my question for them if I could post to their forum...is "how do you delete or edit data in laps?" When we stopped for a break my Garmin must have seen it as not a break. Anyway after loading to ST, the time is off so everything is off. I need help:o Any insight/comments appreciated.

I use SportTracks. I log into the forum infrequently, but haven't had any trouble with access. I have seen some people complain that their contributor status takes a couple of weeks to appear. But really, I view my contribution as payment for the software development, not for access to the forum (which is only peer support, albeit from some pretty expert users). What happens when you hit the "forgot password" link?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking about SportTracks. Do you want to exclude stopped time from your time and distance totals? That's under Settings: Display: Analysis. Or is it the other way around (stopped time is being excluded, and you want to include it)? You can view custom splits but I'm pretty sure you can't edit the data.

You CAN edit the .tcx file directly with an XML editor (or possibly even with a text editor, I'm not sure), but I really don't know much about how to do that (I know all the end tags have to match). If that's what you're trying to do, you'll have better luck on the MotionBased forums, since those are targeted more specifically to Garmin devices.

Thanks Oakleaf...you hit it on the head. I wanted to edit out the erroneous data. Okay...back to MB for this one but I hate when I have to ask for help over there. A person"Kathleen" in support who has responded to my issues in the past has been ...let's call it unfriendly. Thanks again, I'll keep looking

Oh when I hit the forgot password button, I get a reply that my address isn't on the system. So it's a circle, I register, ST accepts and says go to login page, I login and it rejects me..boohoo!
Great ride today in PA:D

Obvious question, but one I occasionally overlook: are you letting the site set a cookie? If so, are you limiting it to a session cookie? (I'm not sure if they require permanent cookies, but more and more sites do these days.)

You can see the forum topics, but not login and post, right? I just posted this. Send me an email that you'd feel comfortable sharing. The folks on ST have been very helpful.

A member on another forum where I've been a heavy proselytizer of SportTracks is having problems logging into the forum to ask a question. Is there anyone who would converse with her via email to sort out the problem?

Wow, no one has responded. That's very unusual.

But I finally found the email for the admin: admin @ zonefivesoftware.com
