Ok, it may not be a big deal to some of you northerners ;) but it's news here. :D It's snowing to beat the band. Looks like we'll get about 6 inches or more tonight. Doggies are watching the cardinals in the tree near the front porch.
Tuckervill, is it snowing over there?

Can you keep it there? We've just finally lost what we have, and we're in for another round through tomorrow and Monday. Had a teaser here yesterday - 60 degrees and sunny.
I hope spring comes soon...
Enjoy though - if you don't get much (although I could send you some from the approx 6 foot snowbanks at my house in Maine.)

As of about 4:30, it's snowing here in Little Rock, too!
Nothing sticking, since it's still about 37, but the temp is steadily dropping...

Woke up to about a quarter inch on everything, and then a couple of hours later it started up again and didn't quit until 5:00. We had to cancel baseball tryouts today--one for the record books--canceling for SNOW.

Karen and Sundial, when I saw the thread topic, I saw the huge grin smiley thing. I was ready to throw my glass at it! Yeah, it's snowing here and I'm sick of it, but if you guys are having a blast with it, I say have a ball and I'll just deal with it one more time.
Sammy - I was in Virginia Beach just last weekend! We have pictures of us with jeans gloves and hooded jackets, but I loved the beach anyway!

What weird weather we've been having. It was 78 on Thursday and in the 30's the past 2 days. Next week will bring spring temps and next weekend will be in the 80's.
I saw the snow was heading towards MO and AR. I'm glad the precip. stayed away from us, although we could use the moisture. Glad you're enjoying the snow! Great dog pics, too. A thread can never have enough dog pics! ;)

I was hoping for some pups romping in the snow pictures!! My terrible trio will have the opportunity to do so tomorrow, unfortunately.
As for the weather, I saw on a news a while back that the Chinese were futilely seeding the clouds in the hopes for rain. I'm no meteorologist or scientist, but that surely couldn't impact the weather here, could it?

Zen, crazy chick!
That's a lot of snow in Memphis! Is that from this weekend? And yes, every thread could use a dog picture, for just the right panache!
I am NOT enjoying the snow. Can't let the dogs out for long periods of time, because they get too cold. It's not deep enough for a snowman, and it's still here a day later, which is muy unusual for Arkansas snow. When it does melt (75 on Thursday, woot!) it will be a muddy mess, which means my carpets will be, too!

Awwww, you guys! Ya call that snow?:p We haven't been getting a lot for the last couple of weeks (2"-6" here & there), but the 0 degrees we had Friday and the 7 degrees we're supposed to get today aren't really impacting the 2 feet we still have on the ground (that is after the melt-down we had 2 weeks ago that shrunk it). It's supposed to be in the low 30s later next week, which will be more normal. I've seen 2-foot storms and -4 here in early March, and I've seen 60 degrees. All depends on the year. Right now it's beautiful blue sky and 3 degrees. I'm looking out at all ice (occasional dark patches I think are cloud shadows but could be patches of water) as far as I can see on Lake Superior right now, and I can often see all the way to Isle Royale.
Sorry - no current pix.

No, they burrowed down before the snow.
We got about 6 inches or so. It's the perfect snow too--not to wet and not too dry. Everything looked gorgeous this morning in the sunrise. :)
Andrea--LOL!
Tuck, remember back in '94 when some parts of Arkansas got about 12-14" snow--in March??

Your snow storm is moving our way...here in Raleigh, we are expecting 2-6 inches before morning. It will be the fourth snow day for our kids this year. At this point, we are hoping they only have a two hour delay tomorrow...we are already losing one day of spring break to make up the lost time.

About 5" so far, here in Delaware. Round 2 just began about 30 minutes ago. It's a snow day for me and DH, and we're planning to get the MTBs out to go play :D

Okay - I stand corrected. North of D.C., we got about 6" and it's still falling. Haven't ventured out to shovel yet (we seem to be the only ones on our street who even make the attempt...most folks just wait for it to melt!). I have an early afternoon chiropractor appt., and with delayed opening and liberal leave....I feel an impromptu annual leave day is in the cards.....

Well the roads ARE terrible but not impossible. Temps in the 20s and N winds to 40mph. It is definitely ugly out. 2 more inches in the forecast.

There was probably 5 inches or so on my car when I went to clear it off. I called into work and told them I would either be in very very late or not at all. I'm leaning towards not at all - the roads are clear, but getting to them is a problem. They only just plowed my condo parking lot a minute ago, except there is a swath of untouched snow several feet wide between the part they plowed and where the cars are parked. And there's at least 8 inches piled up between the cars, which will not be cleared by anyone. Because we don't have reserved parking here, no one bothers to clear snow or ice around the cars, because if you do, and then you leave, someone will take the space you so lovingly cleared out and you will have to park in a space full of snow. If everyone would just clear out one space, we would all benefit, but no one sees it that way, I guess.
Oh well. It does look very nice outside my window right now. There's a big pine tree covered in snow.
It's very windy and cold outside now. They say it will be near 60 by the weekend.

That sounds about right! The real issue now is the cold and the high winds. Hopefully, the latter will dry the main roads so tomorrow's commute won't be treacherous. We'll see if the county gets out and plows my hilly neighborhood!

My neighborhood roads look okay. I think the condo association takes care of them. We have some good hills, too, so we'd all be trapped without our maintenance guys.

Looks like we have about 9-10 inches, but it stopped. DH is snow blowing as I type. He looks just like SheFly's DH out there!
Planning to go out for a snow shoe on the neighborhood/conservation land trail a little later. I thought I had seen my last snow shoe for the year, because when I was running down my street last Saturday, I noticed that where the trail connects, there was only a bit of snow and a little ice left in the woods.
Lisa, I just saw on the news that there is another swath of snow moving up north, toward Albany. It looks like you will get part of that. It is going to graze central MA, but I think we are too far east, thankfully.
Well, having to stay inside was good for getting my work done.
I guess I spoke too soon. It's snowing again...

We had about 6" on our patio table, but as we head into town yesterday, there was quite a bit less in the woods and MUT that ran alongside Sligo Creek Parkway. That still didn't prevent us from seeing the tell-tale double tracks of the cross country skiers and even someone wearing snowshoes!
