Umm quick question..

Do you have your wireless spedometer sensor on the front or back of your bike? Is it normally on the back wheel?

Another question since I'm sure someone will know this off the top of thier head. (Ok, I can't find my polar box).....Do you use a Polar CS200 etc? Can we still log our files if we're not connected to the net?

Thanks!

I've always had the sensor on the front wheel. It was put there by the guys at the bike shop.

Front, because the receiver is in the computer on your bars and the front wheel is closer (in order for the signal to be transmitted). No clue about the polar.

Mine has a single sensor for the wheel and the crank (cadence), so it goes on the chainstay.

This is sort of on the subject -- if your sensor is on the front wheel, how is everyone keeping track of their milage on the indoor trainer? I usually guess based on time, but would love to make it more real.

The bike I use on the road and trainer has the sensor on the back. The bike I never use on the trainer has it on the front. Both work fine.

Unless you ride the bike on the trainer alone, normally on the front wheel is better because it's closer.

Most computer don't have a long-enough wire to get to the back wheel, or if it's wireless the transmission might not be so good...

Ok, i have a Polar wireless computer on my bike. I shall move it to the back as I want to be able to do the Spinervals DVD"s on my roadie bike inside.
