They're both one of my favorite things about the TdF :D

I love them both! Last year we saw them up close on my b-day in Palo Alto, I told DH "okay, done, birthday was good". :p We have the book "Dancing on the Pedals- the Found Poetry of Phil Liggett", those one liners are so funny!

They're both one of my favorite things about the TdF :D

I especially love that they tell you about the region the race is passing through, with details about the different cathedrals and chateaux (sp?) and whatnot.

I always record their live coverage in the morning, and then watch it at night instead of the prime time show with Bob Roll and the other guy. I like Bobke just fine, and I liked his partner last year too, but you just can't beat Phil and Paul.

I'm pretty sure the longer broadcasts are the live ones, and the hour long broadcasts are repeats of highlights.
