Portland visit-places to ride, etc.

So we've booked our hotel in Portland...and coming with our bikes by train from Vancouver. It'll be the Easter weekend.

So the cherry blossoms will be out in Portland? 'Cause most likely that's when Vancouver's blossoms are starting or midst of bursting.

We've been in Portland on bike a few years ago. Did cycle to and from Columbia Gorge area. Any suggestions for routes.. would be willing to guided along or meet up for coffee. Whatever.

Am hoping for little rain. :p But oh well, at least our hotel is mind-boggling lovely..

Hey sure, the bks. would be useful. I actually have an extended vacation period simply because it falls on the time period I get my compressed work day off. Having a job closer to home, to train station, means I can jump onto train to Seattle after I finish work. Not like my previous job in the boonies...

It's interesting looking at the hotel deals far in advance..with the economic downturn there's interesting stuff out there now. (Just like the better Vancouver hotels are offering great deals right now. :))
