What's a fair price (Orbea)?

I am debating selling my 2008 Orbea Onix Dama. It has an appalling 130 road miles and 109 trainer miles on it (a.k.a. almost brand spankin' new). Yeah, I think I am more of a runner than a cyclist at heart. It's stock except for a Specialized Jett saddle and Salsa Poco handlebars. It also has Look Keo pedals.

The MSRP was $2549 according to the Orbea brochure. I believe I paid about $2200. I just wanted to get an idea from people in the know what a reasonable asking price would be.

What gruppo? My guess is that you'll take a pretty hard hit and get maybe half. Whoever buys it loses the warranty. Since you're going to take such a hard hit, think carefully about whether you'd rather have the bike around as an option.

I know, I've grappled whether to keep it around just in case, but I haven't ridden it a lick in 4 months. It's in my bedroom with a layer of dust on the saddle :(

My husband is currently eyeing a Cervelo road bike with a MSRP of over $5000 but it was rented by the shop for some reason and ridden for about 200 km. Because of that, the price is down to just over $3000, even if the bike looks brand new still. And that's from the shop. If he buys the bike, he still gets the warranty, a fitting, technical support, etc.

The drop might be less steep for a less expensive bike, but bikes just seem to lose a lot of value once they hit the road... :(

with the economy as it is there are lots of folks selling their bikes. And when your desperate you'll go low, so LOTS of deals out there.
I have a couple of brand New Bianchi 1885's in the store that I can't unload.
A good customer bought them (matching 55 and 59) for him and his girlfriend to ride. They never did, and then they broke up. He paid almost 2100.00 EACH for them, so he brought them to me to see if I could sell them.
We have them marked at 1400, but he will go as low as 1200, and people aren't even LOOKING at them...
Sad.

There has to be a family SOMEWHERE for those bikes..
But yeah, it's tough out there right now. If you have the luxury I might hold on to them a bit longer. OR test the market on craigslist and if you don't get any bites, just hold on to her.
