I remember when I was a kid, I read Winning magazine. That's gone now.
Now I know about Bicycling ( not my thing ) and some of the MTB magazines, and the Kim West radio show online, but are there any newspaper columns?
There are a lot of blogs, some of them good. What's your favorite?
I read Fat Cyclist but don't really know what else is out there and would like to know what you like to read.
Thanks!

Here is a recent thread with lots of good suggestions of online biking blogs that many women here enjoy:

I really liked Winning. It had all the news of European racing, and at that time, I was really into racing (even though I pretty much sucked at it!)
I used to read VeloNews, but dropped it a while back because I just didn't have enough time. I'm not into racing anymore. I like that magazine that Newfsmith had a feature in (whatever it's called).

I listed a bunch of great cycling oriented blogs, most of them written by women, on my website, here:

Thanks!:)
I'm assuming that Newfsmith is a member here, but I don't know more than that. If you remember which publication, I'd be curious.

I subscribe to Momentum, but the first issue was really expensive. It featured commuter bikes, and a Masi Mixte, I ordered it in Sept and picking it up today. I really enjoy Momentum. It's not about racing, but real people riding bikes.

I subscribed to Momentum magazine a few months ago.
I'm not sure yet what I think of it. On the one hand, I like the fact that it is not aimed at the usual roadie/racer/training biking genre (there are other magazines for that).
Instead it features useful info about using bikes for transportation (gasp!)- tips on bike commuting, errand bikes, hauling stuff bikes, student and children's bikes, the greener aspects of bike use, etc. Even some recipes for healthy food.
On the other hand, it focuses heavily on the 'hip young urban fashion' aspect of biking, with photos of young people biking in 'hip' street outfits that really have little if anything to do with biking. English country style knickers are big, as are helmet covers that make your helmet look more like a 'People's cap' a la Castro or Che. After a while the novelty of pictures of young girls in mod crepe skirts, tweed retro newsboy caps, and high heels riding around in deadly city traffic wears thin. And I seldom see heavy U-locks or typical NYC massive chain/lock combos on their bikes...don't these city girls lock up their bikes while buying their usual fresh flowers, bottle of fine wine and French baguette? Or maybe they can afford to replace their stolen bikes every month. ;) :D (just kidding, sort of)
But overall I do like the magazine, it has a lot of thoughtful articles. It's good to see so many young people embracing bike use as a desirable lifestyle. I just wish it looked a little less like a fashion magazine. :D
