What a bummer...RSVP sold out in 6 days! DH and I have been planning to do this ride again since our first time doing it was in a torrential down pour. We were going to sign up this weekend, but alas, those who wait.... I really didn't think it would sell out in the first week of open registration.

Anyone out there wanting to sell your registration, let me know (I know its early, but I thought I would put it out there now for future reference!)

Well, some people's plans are bound to change between now and August, so entries will likely show up on Cascade's email list or on craigslist as summer approaches. Good luck!

RSVP looks like a great ride, I hope to do it too, someday.

it really did sell out fast; didn't even wait until bike Expo.

We bought our tickets on new years day this year and last. I understand that if you sign up to volunteer at Cascade you can still get in --for free. It is a great ride even if only for the fact that it is not so crazy as STP.

It was open to Cascade members only during the month of January. I knew this, but thought I had at least a week before it would sell out. :(

I check the Cascade boards regularly and as of today, they have three full pages of people looking to buy tickets. I actually need 4 tickets. I will just have to keep an eye out closer to event. Does anyone know if Cascase gives out registrations in exchange for volunteer hours? Having just recently been laid off, I have more time than money now!

Rsvp Ride's popularity --what do you think are the reasons for it? Is it the party at the end? Or the idea/goal that one rides ..into a foreign country? :p

I guess if local Vancouverites gatecrash the party, can we get in free if we are honorary..hosts??? We know the best gelato places, cafes, restaurants, etc. in downtown. :D

I think the reason it sells out so fast is that fact that it is a relatively small ride (I think it is limited to 1,000 people) and the route is much nicer than that of the stp. Party at the end is okay, but definitely not worth riding all the way to Vancouver just for the party.

For me, RSVP is about having pie in Snohomish, breakfast in Lyden, and cupcakes on Denman in Vancouver. STP is just about getting to Portland before dark & unscathed.

How did I miss the pie and cup cakes? The last year I did it, it poured down rain, so any pie or cupcakes must have washed away with the Dan Henry's.
