Looking back at 2008:
1) Met the man of my dreams on a cycling forum after I've given up after dating too many frogs! (Yay!! He's a cyclist!!)
2) Joined the race team - first race will be sometime in 2009, IF I feel I'm in shape enough to do so!
3) Did my first bike tour. To Oregon for 8 days and about 450 miles. First time I've ever ridden so many consecutive days with those kind of miles! And started using/needing chamois butter for the first time.
4) Bought my first pair of cycling socks. Woot! And yes, it makes a difference...
5) Actually using a cell phone and started texting, due to my kids and bf.
What about you? :)

No crashes for me in 2008
Only two crashes in my family (my 15 yr old and my 17 yr old) - both major road rash but no broken bones
My father survived another year (but the delayed 2008 heart surgery looks on the cards for 2009)
Rode more than twice as much with my partner than I did the year before
Reduced my work from 5 days/week, to 4 days only
Supported my partner in achieving his second National Road (ITT) gold medal
Coped with my second child "leaving the nest"
Put my name forward for the local club's committee and became secretary
Had a break from study after studying every year since 1996

I'm amazed how much you both have accomplished! It's easy for me to let time pass, and not give myself credit for the positive changes of my life. I always did like lists...:p

2008, I didn't have a concussion!
at least as far as I remember.
Too funny.
Life is a continuum.
I hope

Rode Fort Davis Mountains- first mountains! Learned that you can't always do a ride unsupported.
Survived riding the Enchanted Circle, mountains and saw a bear!
Learned to mountain bike and actually like the dirty side
Lost my husband's aunt and my mom's dear friend but were better for knowing them.
Pulled my Maggie through kidney failure and am being repaid daily with lots of love!
Lost 20 lbs and feel so much better physically and emotionally.
Rode a 1,100 miles less than 2007 and no centuries but still loved cycling.
