I started seriously clipping coupons a few months ago, and I'm afraid I have become obsessed with it! I have a binder to keep them organized. I check my local couponing blog daily. I anticipate going through the Sunday paper coupon section. Maybe I need an intervention?

I am excited today because my local Harris Teeter is tripling coupons up to .99, and they have this special P&G coupon thing going where they double P&G coupons between $1 and $2!! I got $4 off a bottle of Pantene shampoo!

As obsessions go, I guess it isn't too bad. At least I am saving money on necessities instead of spending it on something frivolous!

A couple of months ago a friend gave me an extra copy of a coupon-book distributed as part of a fundraiser by a local group. I was amazed how much I saved just doing my usual shopping. On dog food alone, I scored at least $10 off in a couple of runs to the pet store. I might buy the coupon book myself this year, 'cause it will easily more than pay for itself in the course of a few months. Too bad the coupons in the current book expire tonight (12/31)!

I sometimes clip coupons from the newspaper, but I have to "know" that I'm headed to the store within a day or two, otherwise the coupons tend to get buried and forgotten. ;)

I did for a while, and it was fun because we tried some new products. At one point it seemed like I saw more and more coupons for stuff I knew we wouldn't like or use so I mostly stopped.
