A beautiful but *very windy* day in the texas hill country. Did our club ride. Just like last weekend, it started cold but warmed up fast. However, we had strong head winds coming in that were brutal (20-30mph). At one point in a very exposed area w strong cross-winds it was really tough to control my bike! 30 very hilly and windy miles.

Oops, I meant to put this in cycling but don't know how to move it.

No, non-cycling sounds about right for me! I only rode once this week. My first week in months riding less than 100 miles . Well, next week I should be back on track. The shows are over and I have my life back. Yay!

Ok, i didn't bike on Saturday but I did do another 1.6km open water swim. This one went a bit wrong though as for the life of me i could not see the buoys on the way back! I found out later that it wasn't just me so i'm quite happy.

I'd like to venture for a ride today however it's 35C & there's no shade on my ride! I'll wait until later on this afternoon & go for a toodle.

We're getting our house cleaned & our stuff ready for our excursion on thursday.

30 miles in the Virginia Beach countryside. It was 35 when we started and about 41 when we got back. The second half of the ride was super windy and I also had a hard time controlling my bike.

Thankfully I rode yesterday before it snowed today.

The ride was to a Christmas lunch with other cyclists. Only 14 kms. but gradual uphill. Then I had to turn around later and cycle, hop onto transit train to get to my dental appt. on time.

Just seeing me in cycling gear off the bike, cause 2 people to comment at different times during day. It was just above freezing yesterday.

Since we are non-cycling area, I will post my weekend "rides":

17 wineries in 3 days through the Texas Hill Country. It was windy this weekend! We did do a short hike yesterday morning. I bought too many bottles of wine and had a lot of fun but all those tastings left me a bit hungover this morning. :p
