You should see the bruises along the outside (and inside!) of my left leg when I tipped over onto a bunch of rocks. Far be it from me to tip over onto soft ground, noooo.
Said bruises are seriously huge and technicolor today. Were it not for my innate modesty and TMI sensibilities I'd post a photo. But LeeBob surveyed them this morning and decreed them Waaaay Coool.
See gang, I've told you all along, I bruise so freakin' easily that I am not suited for this mtn biking stuff. And I have a whole left leg to prove it!!!
That said, it was a lot of fun.

Eh, I bruise from someone looking at me wrong. Every mountain biking trip whether I fall or not I get a bruise. I bruise myself with the dang pedals sometimes!
Looks like you had fun, come on over to the dirty side. :p
I'm sure I saw Bigfoot in that video...

Just a friend of ours. He's 6'7". His runt of a fraternal twin brother is only 6'5'. He's referred to as the Spag-Yeti of the two as he's also slimmer.

Tall people frighten me. DH is 6'2", I think he is a giant compared to all 5'2" of me. We used to have a customer at Lowe's that was 6'13". Yes that is how he said it because 7'1" sounded so awful to him. It made my neck hurt to talk to him when he came to my register but he was a really nice man and no he never played basketball. :p

Reminds me of my niece, who at 6'2" was often asked if she played basketball or volleyball.
And she'd inevitably reply "No, do you play miniature golf?".
- jobob, so proud of her wizeazz niece.

LOL!! I play miniature golf but not professionally. Clever niece you got there. People used to ask me if I was an albino because I am quite fair skinned, I could never think of anything that clever but usually just told them to STFU. :p

Eh, I bruise from someone looking at me wrong. Oh Ama that's just excellent, may I borrow it?
And for Mimi and all the rest of you curious types, here's how my leg looks this morning, four days later, in all it's black & purple and greenish glory (link only, to spare those who care not to know :p )

Yes, feel free to use that any time.
Good lord I have had those technicolor bruises. And I usually get them from something very mild. I am pretty bruised from falling over on a steep hill Sunday. No high speed, no glorious crash just fell over trying to dismount and walk up the hill. I have green bruise on my hand from getting annoyed that the remote wasn't working and somehow banging my hand with it. Oy!

Thanks gang! I'm perversely proud of it.
It hurt like the dickens when it happened but it calmed down to a dull ache very soon after - enough for me to continue the ride with a minimum of whining.
Now its just a bit sore when I put any pressure on it - so I can't lay on my left side, or do the side kick series on that side in my pilates mat class. And I get in & out of the car a bit gingerly.
But luckily my back and hip and butt were spared so sitting is not a problem. :p

Hey Jobob, Beautiful colors!! Try putting some Arnica gel on them. It might be a little late, but Arnica has worked wonders for me. You can get it at Whole Foods or at a health food type store.
