I am trying to find a watch that is analog (vs digital), has an alarm feature, and a light. I DON'T want a sporty watch with either a cloth or rubber watchband. I want something that is dressy enough to wear to work and with nice casual dress clothes- something with a bracelet/bangle/or metal watchband. I have looked for an hour online today without success - I did find some in the $900.00  range. I have also shopped around without any success.
I would appreciate some help if you know of a watch that fits this description.
Thank you for allowing me to be a thread hog.

Can you post a picture of one that you liked (the expensive one...) as a reference point?

I like Victorinox/Swiss Army and they have women's versions

Believe it or not, I got a watch very much like that at Target a couple of years ago. It was ~$35 and still worked great when I lost it a few months ago.
Targets have a very large watch section.

I'd post a picture, but it really is nothing special. It had a white face with black numbers and a silver and gold band.
At $950 it should wash my car and do my dishes.

Can I have it :o ??? Just kidding. We are headed to the big city with Target tomorrow and I will have to squeeze in there and have a look. Chances are if you got it 2 years ago, it has just arrived at our Target as new!

Believe it or not, I've bought Wenger and Swiss Army watches at excellent prices at both Big 5 Sporting Goods and SierraTradingPost that sound like what you need though I've never seen an analog watch with an alarm. Really? Huh. I use my phone for an alarm clock when I'm traveling.

So maybe check D1ck's or Sportmen's Warehouse or whatever you've got there.

I love St. Moritz watches. I'm on my second one in the last 12 years. They are simple, yet rugged and suited for everyday wear.

Something like this is probably good for what you need.

If you want rugged yet fashionable I would check out Casio's website. Their baby g-shocks look really awesome. They make them with metal bands and you could run over them with a tank and they won't break. I used to go through watches like nobody's business until I got my Gshock Mudman...I can't break this thing. Of course mine is not what you are looking for but they make others that sound like they would fit the bill. They aren't $900 either. I researched my watch for months before I bought it and I'm glad I spent a little extra on it...I've had it over a year and it's still awesome. They make them with analog or digital faces, great backlight and most come in solar powered so the battery never dies.
www.gshock.com click the baby gshock to get women's styles.

PS Fossil has a great website where you can build your own watch and I think you can get metal bands as well. Might wanna check that out too.
