Ok, hopefully there will be a good turn out ..but Vancouver is gonna have a 2nd bike to work week, this November. For the first time. To encourage cold weather/winter cycling.

Nov. 17-23/08

There's going to be even an outdoor get-together event for cyclists. Guess it will be in the dark...interesting..

I'm not even sure I'll be there. I might have to cheat and take the bike onto Skytrain to get there faster. I missed out the annual spring bash this year ..that drew over 1,000 people after work on a Friday. I get home downtown kind of late from work.

I just might if the US election goes bad! :(

Seriously, this is GREAT! Let us know how it goes.

What do you do as a volunteer?

I've signed up for the bike log. Hopefully more people from my workplace will sign up too.

I think it's going to be set up and take down, and distributing food and/or coffee at the station. Not sure yet.

What's the bike log?

At their website, if you sign up for the challenge you can log on the distance you rode and see how much CO2 you've cut down. You can also sign up as a team. I sign up with my workplace but I'm the only one there right now... so sad.

Any going to the late Friday afternoon bash? Maybe...we can huddle somewhere to meet?

I just hope...it ...doesn't....rain...much :o

By the way, this past Friday when I was going home, there were some Halloween costumed cyclists heading towards to the Critical mass ride meeting point. One cyclist in tophat and tails, rode on a tall big wheeled bike..like over 7 ft. high (the saddle), twirled a left-hand turn at the intersection in the dark when the pavement was still rain-slicked heading down a hill downtown. Some cyclists..are skilled..

It's not this Friday, I think it's the next one.

End-of-bike-to-work-week party at Science World.
