Wanted to give everyone a heads-up that registration for the 2009 IronGirl sprint triathlon in Columbia, Md, is now open: https://www.tricolumbia.org/IronGirl/.

I just registered as part of a relay team. I will be swimming, 7Rider (Regina) will be biking, and her friend Margot will be running. The race is likely to sell out today!

Cool! You all can say hi as you pass me on the bike or run (I think I'll be ahead of your wave on the swim, so I doubt you'll have the opportunity to pass me.)

I think relays go off in the last wave.

Yup, it closed out last night. Last year they didn't even open up registration until 11/26. When I raced this in 2007 it didn't close out until sometime in the spring. It's gotten very popular!

Just for the ladies who are interested... it's 8-23-09. :)

If I thought I were going to visit my sister in Maryland I would do the swim or run for you. But no promises and it's doubtful since I want to go jockstrap in Kentucky for some friends doing IMKY next year.
