Anyone? You will laugh when I went and bought horse linemint (oh I can't spell it) as my sister rubbed it on me before and it felt good. Vetrimin. But I'm tired of smelling like a horse and it kinda burns (not made for humans a little too much menthol, nothing bad in it, just too strong) so I'm on the hunt for something else. Biofreeze was kind of lame.
And yes, I still have tendonitis or whatever it is. I have located and am in the midst of going to Boston to see a doctor that specializes in cranky feet/lower legs in athletes, so if he can't figure it out, then I'm just going to get a peg leg and swap my border collie in for a parrot.

Teigyr introduced me to Flex Power Cream this summer during tri training. Doesn't smell much. Feels good.
PS Will be glad to send you a black eye patch to help with accessorizing
My aromatherapist makes a "bruise and sprain rub" with a lot of arnica, ginger, chamomile, etc. BleekerStGirl has tried it, too. I use it on every part that ever gets achy and my rides are much more pleasant as a result. :-) Heals bruises fast, too.
PM if you want more info.
Hugs and butterflies,

One of my friends' friend is a naturopath doctor. She suggested that I use castor oil. I haven't tried it yet but I've had deep tissue massage on my legs and hips to help the ankle. (I have an ankle that "clicks" if I move it in a certain way). Also had tried with hot/ cold treatment with some success though the pain is still there if I don't keep it up. Good luck with your doctor. I hope s/he will be helpful. I haven't found anyone that can explain why my ankle clicks.

Traumeel. My acupuncture doctor turned me on to it, but you should be able to get it in most natural food stores. They make a gel (which I use), a cream (which I haven't tried), and both tablets and drops for internal use.
It doesn't have any immediate effects like menthol or camphor, but over time it really seems to help with inflammation.
There's also capsaicin rubs (and cayenne/other capsicum for internal use) - very effective and fast acting but also a cumulative effect over time... just if you wear contact lenses, WEAR GLOVES to apply it. DAMHIK.

I love the muscles salves, both hot and cold, from Merry Hempsters (http://merryhempsters.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=MH&Category_Code=SALVE). They smell wonderful, and have been very effective for me. You can get them at Whole Foods or at some organic markets.

Since my tennis playing days, I have been a big fan of Absorbine Jr. Smells funky, but it's always been really effective on my aches and pains. (Bonus: the smell seems to act as a mosquito repellent. Seriously! :p )

With as much rubbing as I do, I'm going to look for all of these when I'm out. Just rubbed Tiger Balm on this a.m. Still works- the horsey stuff was a bit too strong- Asorbine Jr is still out there?! I believe you on the getting rid of bugs part...

Merry Hempsters?!
*scratching head*
Hmmm, I wonder what state of mind they were in when they thought up that name.

Arnica. I prefer the gel to the ointment.

My aunt swears by the blue emu cream she gets at a natural foods store near her in Panama City. I didn't try it, but my mother did and she said it worked. I don't recall what the actual name of the product was, unless it was Blue Emu or something close to that. The cream was a light blue color.
What do you guys think of taking glucosamine for knee pain?
