On my commute to work I noticed something odd by the road. The first time I passed it, my brain couldn't computer what it was. The second time I passed it, I felt sorry for it since no one had bothered to take it. The third time I passed it, my Trek was oddly nervous, as if it had just seen an alien.

Here are some photos to see if you can figure out what it is and how many photos it took to identify it.

The fact that it sat there for several days on the edge of a very busy road makes me think that passersby didn't know what it was....or worse yet, knew what it was and didn't want any part of it.

I think it's some sort of kinky sex machine.

It's an exercise machine invented by somebody with a lot of leftover bicycle parts.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought sure that Pardes found her lunch!

that looks like some piece of home exercise equipment, probably "as seen on tv" style. I've searched vintage exercise equipment images but haven't found anything like it. Is there a name on it anywhere?

You guys crack me UP!!!!

I thought Blecker Street had it with the sex toy and then a birthing chair without a cutout....good grief.....that put me over the edge......but Pardes finding her lunch is hysterical......

Clever bicycling ladies indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I'll be photographing a very strange love affair on the same stretch of road. Who would have thought a 1.2 mile morning ride could be so fruitful.

I'm happy biking has been so good for you. I think it is like a sitting rowing machine where you use your own weight as a resistance.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it's best used in front of a t.v. with one of those aquarium or fireplace videos playing.
