I wanted to let interested folks know that there is an 8 week Learn to Run class starting next Wednesday, 5:30-7:00, at 5focus in South Lake Union. I am going to take this. I met the coach tonight and she is delightful. Here's the info from the brochure. (I hope it's OK to post this...)

Wow, sounds cool! I'd take it if I still lived in the area. <sniff>

That looks like fun and it looks like a really good deal. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

I think you will love running. It's very portable AND it isn't as bad as cycling when it's raining out.

I'm glad I work Wednesday nights or else I'd be lobbying to go.

Looks like a fantastic program. And it's convenient to where I work! Unfortunately, Wednesday nights are LEED study group night this fall . . .

I so wanted to go to the intro session last night, but by the time I got home, my body and brain were in shut down mode.

I really need to get some down time to figure out if I want to ditch the T9 group and take up this one instead, or what. Hopefully, I'll find enough non-work time this weekend to get that figured out.

Fyi, the T9 group was more of the same, only longer--"Okay, go run." No talk about form, breathing, injury prevention, or anything at all (except shoes). The 5focus coach will be spending the first 20-30 minutes on a topic, covering the things she listed, questions, any other topics we raise. And will watch us run and coach us on how to do it right.

Email or call if you want, Dex. Difference was night and day.

Expect an e-mail soon-ish. I've been going non-stop for the last eight days, but I think I'm all caught up now. First: food and brain recuperation.
