This is my 2nd year pedaling through the very rolling hills of Georgia. I'm so committed to seeing that these kids get to experience what it means to go to summer camp. So many of the ESP (Extra Special People) kids have come through my clinic at some point in their school
career. To hear a wheelchair bound child squeal with excitement about doing a zip line makes my heart jump. To hear that same child tell me that he did the zip line a second time, but blindfolded, makes me want to pedal 105 miles. Visit the following link to learn more and/or make a donation.

This is my favorite century! Small group doing it, but a GREAT route -- I do it all the time unsupported -- I like it that much! I HIGHLY recommend it. I would do it myself, but I'm already committed that weekend (see signature!)

I did this ride last year. I live in Oconee County and I too, travel many of these roads. Best of luck on your 3 DAY.

Count 'em down and let's get ready to go for a ride. You can hop on the
handlebars and I'll do all of the pedaling. There's something about riding a
bike that takes me back 35 years. With the wind in my face, the rhythm of my
pedal stroke and no cares in the world, I will take on the Century Challenge to
accomplish this goal.
On October 26th, I'm setting out for a 105 mile bike ride. All of OUR
fundraising efforts will go toward my local peeps at ESP (Extra Special People)
and their camping week at Camp Twin Lakes. With these efforts, ESP kids will
doing the coolest of stuff like golf, swimming, fishing, archery, horseback
riding, arts & crafts, paddle boats , a ropes course & zip lines. Every child
should be able to go to camp. And every child should be just that, a child. The
amazing thing that draws me to Camp Twin Lakes is their logo. It says, "Camp
Twin Lakes Where Young Spirits Soar." That says it all.
I know times are hard and I'm not asking for a lot. All I'm asking is for you
to visit the links attached and consider donating what you might spend in a day
for your coffee or Coke.
Check it out and come along for the ride. You've known me long enough to know
that I'll take pictures and throw together a story of our ride. When it's all
said and done, I'll forward the story and it'll seem as if you were there.
