I'm trying to find a good tight for riding in the rain (with a Showers Pass rain jacket). I think I've narrowed the search down to between the Craft Storm and the Pearl Izumi Amfib tights. Do any of you have any experience wearing these? If so, how do you like them? Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help:)

I have the AmFib tights and love them for riding in the cold but I'm not sure how well they would work out in the rain. They're not waterproof I don't know how water resistant they are.

I have the Craft Storm tights. They're great in very cold weather (they're VERY thick & warm, and have room to layer long underwear underneath), good in heavy snow, mixed winter precip, and maybe a very light drizzle, but I don't think I'd necessarily want to wear them in a downpour. You'd be better of with a lighter, more breathable tight with goretex overpants.

I also probably wouldn't wear them biking for temperatures much warmer than 30 degrees. They're really quite warm.

Ditto on the AmFibs- I can't wear them much above freezing without sweating to death.

Thanks for the info on the Craft storm and PI amfib tights...just what I needed to know!! I'll be looking for a lighter, quicker-drying tight! Thanks, again :D

I have a nike storm fit rain trouser (I also have Amfibs and ditto the above) - they are water tight. All you still need is gaiters to keep water out of your shoes.

?? Went through the first page and didn't see anything about the PI Amfib or Craft Storms...

I have the Amfibs, and though I am usually cold, the others are correct. I can wear them at 40 *if* it's cloudy. Otherwise, 35 and under.
