So this is just such a baby "why me" post. I have decided to get a Polar watch, one of those fancy heart rate dohickies. Anyway, I waited patiently for payday to go buy my chosen green watch and decided REI would be good since they give me a dividend. I called to see if they had it and NO they don't have it. I can get it off the site but that doesn't give me the immediate gratification of putting it on my wrist the minute the $$$$ leaves my account. I want it now, not 3-5 business days!
Can you tell I was a bit of a spoiled child? :p

Did you check the new REI? I'm sure you did, but had to ask. :D But I totally know what you mean. The hubby is always doing next day shipping cause he wants it NOW. Me, I want it now but too much of a penny pincher to spend the $$ on the shipping. But that dividend does rule! LOL! I have things shipped to the store to get the free shipping and then we end up spending more at the store when we pick up the package then I would have spent on shipping in the first place. LOL!

Try Zappos - they have free overnight shipping and free returns. I love them - and my polar HRM

Eh, I work right by a REI (like .5 miles) so it is so much more practical to ship it to the darn store. No fun things in the mail.

Yep and so I find trivial things to be problems. :)
Did you check the new REI?
They checked all three area ones. Boooo hoooo. I would try other places but they are all the same price and the dividend next year makes REI cheaper.
I will have to patiently wait, of course patience is something I still don't have. I am so American- I want it and I want it now. No waiting, now!:p
I LOVE to order things! Mostly because I live in a town that's too small to have stores like REI to shop in. :p

:o I decided to order it from another source where I got free overnight shipping and had a coupon code, plus since I am not in a state they have to charge sales tax I didn't pay that either. $15 cheaper than REI, quicker delivery. REI was a week delay to get at the store in Round Rock and three days longer for the one by my work, no way I could be that patient I am just not wired that way!! Hopefully I will like it when it arrives Monday. :D

The F6 watch in Green Tea. The pink is too pale for my fair skin and the black wasn't me. I have never seen the green in person, I hope it isn't hideous. If it is I am keeping it anyway.
CC- I know about that shipping to Australia- oy! I feel for you, I am whining about a week of waiting. How many pairs of Sidis are you stockpiling?
I checked the status (yes I am OCD) and it shipped this afternoon! I think it will be in my mailbox Monday, hopefully I can figure it out quick and go for a run. My husband thinks it will really "enlighten" me to have one. I think I will just have fun/interest in the date. We shall see. ;)

Last night I pre-ordered a book out of Amazon.com in Canada 'cause the US site isn't even handling pre-orders. I have no clue when I'll get the book in the mail. But I am looking forward to arriving home one day and finding a present on my doorstep.
When you've lived in rural areas or want specialty items - you get used to waiting.

I should move to the middle of nowhere and see if I get patience! I keep asking DH if we can move to the mountains of Texas but he says it is too isolated.

Aggie, how are you at Christmas??

Horrible, like a spoiled toddler! My husband and I do Christmas on Christmas eve before we travel to see all the relatives, saves his sanity. :)
For my birthday he started taking me on trips so I can't start asking the week before if he has my present hidden. For his birthday I shop the day of or the day before because I can never wait to give him the present! :o Funny thing is my idea of good can be a pair of socks I eyed, he gets off easy on that but he has to deal with me being impatient. Jeez, I sound so spoiled and stupid.

It was here when I got home, a little bright spot in my tiring day. I pulled it out, set it for my specifications and went for a 3.2 mile run. I think it was a very nice investment for me. Yipppeeee!!!
I will also now say the place I bought it, hrmusainc.com, was fabulous. I ordered it at 2:30 (central) Friday and it was here today. Free overnight shipping and I googled a coupon code for an additional 5% off. No tax for my state so the total was $15 less than REI and a week quicker! :D:D
