Someone posted a trick about using hairspray to get handlebar grips off a bike recently and I remember thinking how weird, does that really work?
Well, I just bought a pair of Ergon bar grips for my bike and went to go change things out. Man those original grips were not going to budge!
So I ran upstairs and grabbed my can of hairspray, wedged the blade of a pair of scissors underneath and sprayed some in. Dang it, IT WORKED!!! Those grips just about slid on off by themselves. Who would have though hairspray could do that?!!!
Just had to say thanks for sharing that tip because you saved me from having a mental meltdown trying to get the old grips off.
Now off to try my new Ergon grips. Fingers crossed that it helps relieve the pain in my right hand!
