does anyone else experience weird "plumbling" problems after a long ride?
I just did the MS150 ride and i'm kind of messed up when it comes to using the bathroom. I didn't change my eating habits during the ride except for eating a bit more for energy. This is the day after and my stomach isn't agreeing with the rest of me at all....
any ideas on what this could be? or do you experience this at all as well?

No, but I haven't had a period in forever. No , I'm not pregnant, and maybe it's perimenopause, but this happened when I was training for a marathon too.

I'm a little confused by the plumbing problems thing. Do you mean urination problems? Diarrhea? Menstrual? Vaginal itching?
I can imagine any of the above after a long ride. But they'd all be really different problems, no?

Are you possibly stressed and suffering from irritable bowel syndrome?

yes i do have IBS..but usually only when i eat certain foods. that is why i am wondering how riding 150 miles brought on the IBS symptoms without eating those foods...

I have had a problem with constipation on tours and long rides. I think it is because I don't eat as much fiber (bagel instead of oatmeal or shredded wheat for breakfast, sandwich or crackers instead of a salad for lunch). It takes me a few days to get back to normal.
