I hope I'm wrong on this one but I just got a new edition of Cycling plus at the local book store. It has a review of my new 09 Specialized thats coming so I bought it. Inside the front cover is a Trek ad with a pink Madone, with the team name Astana on it. That's the new team the Bruhnell started that Lance will ride on. Will he do it? Will his ego let him? On the bottom of the page in big,bold letters is the phrase "PINK IS THE NEW YELLOW".

Bruyneel didn't start the team - he took over management of it last year after Discovery stopped sponsoring a team.

I suspect the slogan "Pink is the new Yellow" is a slam on the Tour de France (yellow jersey, didn't let Astana ride) as compared to the Giro d'Italia (pink jersey, DID let Astana ride and Contador won), and NOT an indication of a change in uniform color. The Astana (Kazakh national team, basically) colors are that teal green and yellow.

It's okay kermit, we all just think you look like a Jack Russell Terrier anyway. I'm sure no one thinks you're dumb blonde :D.

Me too! And I thought I would dye it my natural dark champagne blonde (almost light brown), nope all the golden blond highlights took over and I am still a blonde. Hmmm.... My dad, mom and brother all have dark hair and I am blonde so I get to be the butt of the blonde jokes and Aggie jokes. :p

Yeah, but isn't it cool when you do something so STUPID, well.... I'm a blonde. Hey I just thought of this what do you think.......What do you call a blonde in front of a peleton? An air vent. See what I mean!

In Texas being an Aggie is the equivalent of a blond to the rest of the world. Whenever my manager is razzing me about something stupid I say "what do you expect I am a blonde Aggie, it is a double whammy". He went to that other school here that is our rival and starts most of the Aggie jokes.
