Hey - this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but ---any TE'ers going to be there? (http://www.tt24tt.com). I'm signed up for the whole enchilada - the 500-miler - and I've had the most ghastly thing happen - the woman who was going to crew for me....GOT A JOB:eek:. (OK, this is actually a wonderful thing, she's delighted, I'm delighted for her, but still...).
It's an easy race to crew for - a 20-mile loop with support only at the start/finish. I'd need someone to pass off bottles, keep track of my lights, and (probably) every once in a while remind me how much fun I'm having.
I'm not a newbie at this, I'm a veteran of racing and crewing longer races like Furnace Creek, Race Across Oregon, etc. I know what I'm getting into.
This race comes highly recommended to me as being a TON of fun for everyone involved - a real festival atmosphere, lots of cheering and whooping and hollering and riding and eating and...fun.
(Also cross-posted in S Central....)
