The age restriction is such a shame.

I agree Susan and I am young enough. But I would not be put off by a catalog of 50 year old fit women!

Too old, wrong size, and not enough boobage.
Guess I shouldn't be wearing Moving Comfort anymore? I don't seem to meet the criteria.
Oh, shucks, and here I am sitting at my computer wearing... oh, I guess 2 items of Moving Comfort? And I own maybe 8 or 10 more pieces?
Time to stop buying Moving Comfort. Even though I've worn their stuff for years, I'm just too old now.
Bummer.
(helpful hint for the irony impaired: "old" chicks wear Moving Comfort. Get some "old" chicks in your ads, ok?)

Title Nine, which sells tons of Moving Comfort, seems to do a nice job having models who are real and fairly diverse.
Guess that backfired, eh?
I didn't even see the age restriction, I was appalled at the boobage requirement:p
That's the kind of thing that makes women feel bad about themselves.
I like seeing real, everyday people

Awww, and I'm 3 miles from Bothell WA, too. And I'm free both those days.
Shucky-darn, what a shame.
Hrm...I think I may need to find my tape measure. Those 2x measurements seem really close to mine.

So does TE!
Anybody here old enough to remember "Tania" the yoga-chickie from Hawaii who modeled for Title Nine during the 90's and early 2000's? I loved watching her age. She got more beautiful as she got older. (a friend of mine knew her in Hawaii in the 1970's-80's, and I've seen pics of her as a 20-something. Definitely someone who ages well!)
Go, Dex, go!!!! Pink mohawk? I'd buy Moving Comfort if I saw you modeling! You are cute, and you certainly resonate with the athletic type!

c'mon WA gals, saddle up and ride to Bothell. And when they ask for id "uhm, that would be discrimination wouldn't it? ;)" Go Knott go! You'd look fabulous too :D wear the black tank top.
A hale and hearty welcome to TE, Moving Comfort.
Welcome to what we affectionately call "the best place in cyberspace for women athletes (and a few guys). While you are here surf on over to the "Are there any of us, many, a few over 50?" thread where all the cool super-fit chickies are :D ;)

Heh. And Salsa says I'm photogenic. LOL! :D:p

Nothin' gonna change if some of you don't hit the bike tires up to Bothell.
Would be great if someone from this forum got into a photo shoot.
I'm not familiar with this clothing line...that's ok. My closet is overflowing.
I guess the least they don't want, is too many sweaty women in their catalogue...any photos of sweating gals in TE or Terry Sports working out hard? Maybe mud clots might cover the gorgeous new pair of shorts for future customers.

Oooh, I'm *really* good at sweating!
I get a gold medal in persperation!
(and Bothell is on the Burke-Gilman bike trail.... which of my 5 bikes should I ride to the casting call? Hmmmm...)
Heh. I sent them sweaty pics. Specifically, me all sweaty and crossing the finish line at the Danskin. I get sweaty when I moooove. ;)
(But seriously, what are the chances the fat girl with the pink hair gets into a photo shoot for athletic wear? It was fun, and funny, to send in stats and pics anyway.)

Crow. Although the Waterford's a beautiful bike I vote for you on Crow, black tank top ... go! Could be great fun. And you gals can go to the brewpub after. :D
Go Dex!!!

The age restriction is such a shame.
Particularly since we "old broads" are more likely to be established in our careers/lives and to have the $$$ to buy their gear!

I guess I can understand the size requirements. I'm not so sure it's about defining what's "right" but to accurately show the product. Perhaps I'm not explaining it right and it's not to define what a woman *should* look like but it is showing the product instead of the person.
I don't get the age requirement. I've seen people older than me who look younger and I've seen younger people who look older.
It's too bad. I don't really want to be in photos but to be able to product test would be wonderful. I have all sorts of complaints about various undergarments; I've learned that running is much harsher than cycling.
Dex, good luck! You ARE photogenic.
If Moving Comfort checks this thread again, there is a womens only triathlon in Federal Way this weekend (sunday) and a womens only 10K at Greenlake on Sunday. Seems to me those would be perfect places to recruit.

Did I read those measurements correctly? If you're a medium, your boobage can only be a 34B? Or was that not meant to be a table?
Not that it matters....my measurements don't align with theirs anyway.

I stopped reading when I read the age restriction, although at second glance I almost meet the size requirements (except for the D part--I have enough trouble with the girls being a C!). But those size restrictions are pretty limiting!
Oh well, I'm on the wrong coast anyways. GO DEX!!

I had the medium figure 4 years ago but I was miserable on the inside. Would flip out over a candy bar and compulsively work out if I felt I ate bad. :(
Not saying everyone is like that, just saying I will not sacrifice my sanity again for that awesome figure I had. I am trying to keep a healthy attitude about food, exercise and my body now that I am trying to shape up.

Hey, I live in Bothell, I am available on the 9th, I am physically fit, I'm a woman....but I guess I am 6 years, 1 inch and a cup size off.....

Heh - the 'medium' measurements are basically mine. My waist is smaller, but I'm sure they wouldn't care about that. Too bad I'm too old (and probably too ugly). :p
I wonder if I could lie about my age? I could pass for 35 (I'm only 40). That would be pretty funny if I got in as a 40 year old. Maybe that would help them see that restricting age is a bad idea when it comes to fitness! ;)

Moving in Comfort People--thanks for getting real people in your marketing materials. Even though alot of us don't fit in your guidelines, I still commend you for going for athletic and healthy real women and not ultrathin, unfit, and unhealthy professional models.
Taylor and GLC--y'all should go!

Just in MC's defense, a little: this is a casting call, after all. Maybe they already have enough models/photos of women in midlife and beyond, and in sizes between the ones they're calling for? They don't have a lot of photos on their website, but this one (http://www.movingcomfort.com/Product/seamless.html) definitely looks at least 40 (to me), and they have chest photos of models wearing C cup bras.
Personally though I can't wear their bras just because my b00bs are too low! Don't know if that's an age thing or not! But the band cuts into what's meant to be in the cups... not good!

Another one in defense of MC. Their story is great:
http://www.movingcomfort.com/story_details.html
And, like someone else pointed out, it's a casting call! They might already have cast an older model and need someone to 'play' her daughter. They're also looking for a plus-size model. How many catalogs feature those women? They're not looking for a size 0. I commend them for looking to our forum for their talent. They came to the right place.
46 and proud!

too bad they don't carry socks. I would be willing to model socks any day...or gloves? I could do that too...
Bra's no way, don't come anywhere near the requirements there and my kids would be humiliated at the thought....
