I found this product at our local grocery store in the health food section - it is from PowerBar and is an electrolyte additive for water. We tried it on our 14 bike ride in the Florida heat (92) and it worked great!! Each packet makes two servings. We put one packet in a 20 oz. Aquafina (natural berry flavor) and it dissolved quickly and tasted great!! The best part is it was not loaded with sugar! And it felt better in our tummies than Gatorade.
Here’s the breakdown per the label (per 8 fl. oz.):
Calories: 10
Total Fat: 0
Sodium: 130 mg
Potassium: 35 mg
Total Carbohydrate: 2 g
Sugars: 2 g
Protein: 0 g
Magnesium: 15%
Ingredients: Sugar, citric acid, sodium citrate, magnesium sulfate, potassium citrate, natural flavor, sucralose, calcium silicate, beet juice.
Not sure what other flavors it comes in: our store only had the Berry and lemon-lime flavors. If you try it, let me know what you think and I am fairly new to riding and still trying out products for the longer rides. Thanks!
