View Full Version : Pink Bottle Cages??? Bontrager?

Hey guys. So, I've been trying to hunt down the perfect pink bottle cage. I really like the Bontrager Race Lite and have tried to buy it on SEVERAL sites now, but every one of them tells me it's an "in store pick up" only. :mad: I suppose I could call my LBS and see if they could order it for me, but does anyone know what the deal is with this?!!! :confused:

I'm also open to other pink bottle holder options if anyone has any suggestions. I currently have the Velocity cages from the Terry website, but want something cooler looking that is light, but not super pricey! Bontrager seems like a good choice at $14.99.

Try Terry.... they seem to have just about everything in pink... including cages!:D

I believe you can order them from the Trek website. In pink, of course. :D :D :D

Terry now has new ones from Purely Custom - much nicer than the Velocity ones -- I have them and really like them:

Gosh, the year I went to the HIlly Hundred there was a big trash can full of pink bottle cages for free - I got one. Not sure it's perfect, but it holds my bottles :) I do kinda wish I'd grabbed two or three...

I looked at the Bontrager ones in pink, in my opinion, they are rather cheap looking...And the pink is just too bright.

Did you see them in actual real person? I've seen photos, but not in person.

Yup, in person, at the place where I got my bike. BF even took a look at them today and made fun of how cheap looking they are. They look and feel so...plasticky. But to each their own! I went to PV Cyclery today and the guy told me that Specialized has some nice bottle holders that are pearly white with pink accents. He told me that they are part of the Susan G. Komen line, but he wasn't so sure. He will call me back on Tuesday to see if he can get some for me.

They look like the bontrager ones, but are cheaper in price.

The carbon ones are mainly black but have a pink stripe.

I have them, and like them. They're on my Surly Cross Check.

Not sure if my shop still carries them or not - I bought them a year or so ago.

I realized today that my friend has the Bontrager bottle cages and I'm not sure it's quite what I want. A little TOO pink for me. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I do like the wider look to them, as opposed to mine, which have very skinny bars.

I might try those, but I'm worried they're too dark of a pink as well. They don't look like it on Amazon, but they do on the pic you sent.

I was in my LBS this afternoon, and they still have the ones I have on my bike. So...they can still be gotten:)

I am also having issues finding something that isn't bright dark pink like that. i want a subtle pink!

Let me know if you find anything. I wonder if I forked out the money for the more expensive lighter weight one's if I could find some lighter COLORED one's as well. :) Just a thought. Haven't bothered to look into it yet and, if I did that, probably wouldn't do it until next season.
