My son is in a contest at school. the prize is a class pizza party. The class that collects postmarked postcards from each of the 50 states the fastest - will win. I did this two years ago with my daughter, and thanks to all of you - her class won! Each postcard must be mailed and postmarked from the state to qualify. Please send to Stuart Livingston, 601 Bali Court, San Ramon, CA 94582.
Thanks, Bekki
I ride with the Valley Spokesmen in California. We host the Cinderella Classic ride each year. The ride has been changed for next year from March 28th to April 4th. so mark your calendars!!!
Cool!
Maryland on the way :)
How do I know you're not pranking someone?
Good one if it is :D
I seem to remember sending a post card the last time, so I'm going to say its legit and not a prank.

I am for real. I am 54 years old with a 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. I help lead the Cinderella training rides each year with my good friends from LunaChix. I raced with the Valley Spokesmens womens team for about 10 years, but found it difficult to train with two young kids at my advancing age!! You can google my name and find blurbs about me.

Any good receiving a card from the UK, would be happy to oblige?

Thank you Maryland, Utah, Montana, Alaska, California and Texas - we received your cards on Saturday. We were gone this weekend - mountain biking in Big Trees/Calaveras park, but the cards were in our mailbox upon our return! I haven't been off road in a while and at elevation - I was worn out. My daughter out-rode me on this trip. Have to get reinvigorated and lose 6 pounds to climb better - ugh! Thanks again and I'll keep you posted on what we receive. Bekki

So is Stuart game for some beers and a tattoo?

I think Stuart would be agreeable to root beer and maybe a side of vanilla ice cream. He's not too wild about tatoos and piercings. He is just 10 - give a few years! Plus he is very tiny. He only weighs 59 pounds - just a bean pole -

We got your postcard today! Next time we go to Baltimore, we will take you up on the beer! I lived in Baltimore for 10 years starting back in 1979 when the Inner Harbor opened up. I worked for Union Trust Bank that became Signet Bank - no telling what its called now. I love the area. Would shop in Ellicott City for treasures! I have so many friends in the area - we try to get together every 5 years or so in Ocean City! Thanks again. Bekki

Thank you to St. Louis, Missouri and to Minnesota - another from Florida and the best of all - Bend, Oregon. We got a card from a friend of one of you that bought a card in India - its hysterical! Its from Scott, I believe - couldn't really read the name and he said he has a pretty blonde friend that belongs to a bike forum!! Whoever you are - thank you! ITs a great card. He has a great sense of humor!

Do foreign cards count? I could send one from H€ll, Norway. Or from Trondheim, if our airport is in a village with too rude a name for 10-year-olds.

It provides a geography lesson. They will talk about each location that a card comes from. So, while it doesn't count for the contest, it does count for their education! We got New Jersey and Virginia today. Thanks ladies.

Hi Bekki
Have posted my card today.
Bit of a contrast, came across this postcard which is our local beach, from 75 years ago, then again not much is different really apart from we seem to lack sunshine these days!!!
I left the image large, so you can see more, hope it's not too boring.

Good luck with getting all the postcards you need.

Ummm, until you tread in dog poo hidden in the sand!
At least these days, there are designated beaches for people with dogs and they can run around without their leads on, the dogs that is, not the owners!

I'll get an update from the teacher today, but I think we only have one or two more to get. Unfortunately, if the post office doesn't clearly postmark the postcard, it doesn't count.:( But I think we are there. Thank you everyone for helping!

We only need DELAWARE! I shot a few e-mails off to several Chamber of Commerce's - we will see if we get one. The other class is still missing 9 states, so we might win! Thanks bunches.

Thank you to everyone and your friends for participating in the 5th grade postcard contest. There are 4 fifth grade classes and another class won yesterday. We only needed Delaware, so we only lost by one. It was great fun and the kids will be studying the location of each state and the place each postcard came from - even the ones that showed up from out of the country! So thanks again for a great job. I am the librarian at my son's school and we are making a bulletin board out of the postcards so the entire school can enjoy them in the library.
