Reasons to Commute: Helmet Hair

I confess that my hair pretty much looks this way anyway, but now that people have seen me showing up on my bike, maybe they'll just think it's helmet hair.

Even if I didn't ride that day.

What do you think?

My short hair already made me look like I have an extra chromosome or two. And now helmet hair on top of that. It just ain't fair.

Two weeks ago I walked into a new salon with my helmet on and begged them for help.

I love it when they assure you that if you use enough "product" everything will be fine. Yeah, right. Until the product melts on a hot ride and starts to run down your nose.

I think the only solution is to avoid looking in mirrors.

I actually kind of like what the helmet does for my do.

I got the gigi flick on the bottom, the flat part, it's all good.

Helmet hair is a big part of why I cut my hair so short. A spray bottle of water can repair a multitude of hair sins when your hair is only 2" long ;)

I add the fun of a 1 1/2" headband that I wear as well to cover up my ears, basically at all times. I can't have wind blowing in my ears, because I end up with painful ears and headaches and things like that. So, imagine the hair after it's all raised up under a big ol' headband and then squashed down under the helmet:) I shower and wash/dry my hair at work in the morning, but when I'm not riding to *work* - all bets are off...
