a HUGE thanks to all the people here on the TE board - the Admin and the participants! As someone who rides solo and lives alone, it isn't like I have a great wealth of people I can turn to for questions, advice, a pat on the back for doing something awesome, and a shoulder to cry on or with when the days aren't always sunny! I have made online friends thru this board that I treasure and worry about and laugh with. Because of this great space, I have made a new friend right here in my own town that introduced me to yet another venue of cycling that I might not have ever tried on my own. Thanks TE - my keychain showed up last night. The pretty blue one that doesn't match a Single bike but is my fav colour! :D It's already on my keychain and makes me smile every time I see it - coz it reminds me just how wonder-lucky I am to have stumbled on this amazing board!
There was another incident on another journal where tempers flared and people got hurt and someone threatened to leave. In the course of the "please stay" threads someone posted - "no forum is perfect and if there is one, I'd like to know". My first thought - there IS one, and it's right here! and it's the people both posting and monitering that made it perfect to begin with, and keep it perfect!

What she said! I just got my pretty blue TE keychain too. It doesn't match my bikes either, but I just carry my (lightweight) valet key on rides anyway, not my whole heavy honking keychain (which will now be even heavier, but that's fine). Thanks TE Folks! :) Way to cheer up a gal in a wheelchair!
